I’m CTO and co-founder at twobrains.ai<\/a>, where I lead the development of our product line. I started that about a year after departing EBSCO Information Services, who had acquired my previous company, Zepheira, where I worked since 2009 on some of the coolest projects, and with some of the best people I’ve ever worked with.<\/p>\n\n I’ve done some consulting<\/a> over the years too, and founded another company,\nRove IT<\/a> (now a SolarWinds company<\/a>), who provided innovative\nmobile systems management and administration solutions for the enterprise.\nI also spent three years at at Sun Microsystems<\/a>, which had\nacquired<\/a> my previous company, Beduin Communications. I was Beduin’s CTO.<\/p>\n\n My principle areas of interest and expertise is Internet scale distributed systems,\nthe Web, standards development, software architecture in general, and mobile\/wireless.<\/p>\n\n See my\nresume<\/a>\nfor more detailed information.<\/p>\n\n As an originator or editor of a specification, some stuff I’ve done includes;\n I’ve also contributed to;\nWAP 2.0<\/a>,\nRFC 3023 “XML Media Types”<\/a>,\nSOAP 1.2<\/a>,\nXHTML Modularization<\/a>,\nXHTML 1.1<\/a>,\nXML Events<\/a>,\nRFC 3470 “Guidelines for the Use of XML within IETF Protocols”<\/a>,\nCompound documents<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n I am an enthusiastic fan of the World Wide Web, in particular the two primary specifications\nthat made it all possible (HTTP 1.1<\/a>,\nand URIs<\/a>), and the architectural style,\nREST<\/a>, that was used by\nRoy Fielding<\/a> to craft\nthem.
