{"id":138,"date":"2003-07-14T18:31:00","date_gmt":"2003-07-14T22:31:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.markbaker.ca\/wp\/?p=175"},"modified":"2003-07-14T18:31:00","modified_gmt":"2003-07-14T22:31:00","slug":"will-the-necho-api-be-restful","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.markbaker.ca\/blog\/2003\/07\/will-the-necho-api-be-restful\/","title":{"rendered":"Will the Necho API be RESTful?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been meaning to be more involved in this, but it&#8217;s been moving\ntoo fast, and I&#8217;ve been too busy with other things (like a job).<\/p>\n\n<p>A comment by Tim Bray in\n<a href=\"http:\/\/lists.w3.org\/Archives\/Public\/www-tag\/2003Jul\/0121.html\">today&#8217;s TAG meeting minutes<\/a>,\nhowever, prompted me to check back;<\/p>\n\n<blockquote>\nover in son-of-RSS-land, we&#8217;re converging on using POST for\nentry creation\/update\/deletion for reasons that seem good\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>My concern with that is that the resulting API would not be RESTful,\nand I thought that the objective was that it should be (as the name\nRestEchoApi suggests!).
