He writes;<\/p>\n\n<blockquote>\nThis model is profoundly different than the normal browser.\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Well, different, but not &#8220;profoundly&#8221; different.  But keep in mind that REST\nis more than just what is seen through a browser.  It&#8217;s simply data transfer.<\/p>\n\n<p>What he describes there is an architecture which sounds an awful lot like\nREST and &#8220;REST + additional constraints&#8221; to me, where the additional constraints\nwould include things like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mod-pubsub.org\">resources are queues<\/a>.\nObviously not all resources would be queues in the system Adam describes, which is why\nyou&#8217;d need two styles; vanilla REST, as well as REST with the queue constraint.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Another excellent piece by Adam, this time on disconnected operation.
