He writes;<\/p>\n\n<blockquote>\nXAML is just an XML-based way to wire up CLR types &#8211; no more no less.\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>That&#8217;s not how XAML comes off at all.  In the examples, there are\nnames such as &#8220;TextPanel&#8221; and &#8220;Heading&#8221; in the XAML namespace; those\naren&#8217;t the sort of things I&#8217;d expect in a binding language.<\/p>\n\n<p>But if the examples are just misleading, and Don&#8217;s statement\nis taken at face value, what XAML would actually be aiming to replace\nisn&#8217;t HTML\/CSS, it&#8217;s RDF\/RDF-Schema;<\/p>\n\n<blockquote>\n<pre>\n&lt;Object def:Class=\"MyClass\" \/&gt;\n<\/pre>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>is essentially equivalent to;<\/p>\n\n<blockquote>\n<pre>\n&lt;my:MyClass&gt;\n  &lt;rdfs:subClassOf rdf:resource=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1999\/02\/22-rdf-syntax-ns#Resource\"\/&gt;\n&lt;\/my:MyClass&gt;\n<\/pre>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Hmm.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Don Box responds to Jon Udell regarding XAML.
