As\n<a href=\"http:\/\/searchwebservices.techtarget.com\/originalContent\/0,289142,sid26_gci939961,00.html#prediction6\">published at SearchWebServices<\/a>,\nmy predictions this year are two;<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Web services will continue to struggle to be deployed on the Internet. I&#8217;ll restate an\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.markbaker.ca\/2002\/04\/WebServicesGrowth\/\">earlier prediction<\/a> I made\nthis year; that by the end of 2004, the number of parties offering publicly available\nnon-RESTful Web services (as registered with XMethods.net) will have plateaued or be falling.<\/li>\n<li>Another high profile public Web service will be developed in both REST and Web services\/SOA\nstyles, and again &#8212; as with Amazon &#8212; the REST based service will service at least 80% of the\ntransactions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"When it comes to predictions, I like to put it on the line and make mine measurable.
