But I&#8217;d also like a decent interface to the FOAF Web.\nSo I what I really want is &#8230;<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Orkut, Friendster, Linked-In etc.. to be value-added aggregators of FOAF (and other, e.g. bookmark) data<\/li>\n<li>All of those, and others, to compete based on who presents the better interface to that data\nrather than who &#8220;owns&#8221; it<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>I&#8217;m not sure what kind of browser integration would be needed, beyond something generic like\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mod-pubsub.org\/\">mod-pubsub<\/a>.  Certainly an RDF viewer.  But in general\nI like to avoid application-specific (e.g. FOAF) functionality in the browser, because that\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.webservices.org\/index.php\/article\/view\/1196\/1\/2\/\">doesn&#8217;t scale<\/a>.  But\nthere are exceptions (which bookmarklets are perfect for).  And perhaps there&#8217;s even a way to\ngeneralize what Joshua wants from browser integration, but I can&#8217;t say because he doesn&#8217;t describe\nwhat he has in mind.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Joshua writes; Mark Baker is asking for Orkut + De.licio.us.
