I&#8217;m certainly not claiming that there were,\nfor example, <em>only<\/em> 376 of them in existence last month.  All I&#8217;m\nsaying by counting them is that wouldn&#8217;t you expect that <em>if<\/em> Web\nservices were seeing success on the Internet, <em>then<\/em> the number\nat XMethods would also be increasing?<\/p>\n\n<p>But my objective here isn&#8217;t sinister.  I&#8217;m honestly just looking\nfor a metric which reflects SOAP\/SOA deployment on the Internet, in the\nspirit of trying to measure &#8220;success&#8221; in a meaningful way; not &#8220;hype&#8221; or\n&#8220;products supporting it&#8221;, but actual use in the context it was designed\nfor.
