On my kitchen shelf &#8211; my home for soon-to-be-drunk,\npartially-drunk, and particularly attractive bottles (behind which I\ncan hide the others 8-), I keep about a dozen bottles &#8211; mostly demi &#8211;\nof several different dessert wines, including\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.royaldemaria.com\/\">Ice Wine<\/a>,\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wein-plus.com\/german_guide\/weinshow.html?rec_number=23280&amp;pict_type=k\">Beerenauslese<\/a>,\nSauternes,\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wilsondaniels.com\/royal_tokaji\/\">Tokaji<\/a>,\nMuscat Beaunes de Venise, and Moscato d&#8217;Asti.<\/p>\n\n<p>There&#8217;s one wine I didn&#8217;t list there though.  And curiously enough,\nit&#8217;s also not listed in this\n<a href=\"http:\/\/wine.about.com\/od\/winerecommendations\/a\/winechocolate.htm\">about.com Valentine&#8217;s piece on wine and chocolate<\/a>.\nI say &#8220;curious&#8221;, because in my opinion, it&#8217;s the single best wine match\nfor dark chocolate;\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.italianmade.com\/wines\/DOC10001.cfm\">Brachetto d&#8217;Acqui<\/a>.\nIt&#8217;s a marvellous though obscure (due to limited production) sparkler gem from\nmy favourite all-round wine region,\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.regione.piemonte.it\/lingue\/english\/index.htm\">Piemonte<\/a>\nin northern Italy.  Even the crappy Brachettos &#8211; like the\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gancia.it\/it\/prod_brachetto.php\">one<\/a>\ncurrently adorning my shelf &#8211; still posess a red fruit sweetness that\nyou won&#8217;t find in any other wine.  The better ones are just more\nfruity, aromatic, and complex.  Plus, a red sparkler on Valentine&#8217;s Day?
