For those who don&#8217;t think Web services have much of a future, this is really good news for the Web and the W3C, as it removes influence from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2002\/ws\/\">Web Services Activity<\/a>, specifically the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2002\/ws\/arch\/\">Web Services Architecture Working Group<\/a> (of which I&#8217;m a member, but that I&#8217;d be happy to see go away).
