A nice one from Dave. Data is clearly his forte 8-) It would be interesting to see him apply this theory to common practice with XML Schema, and RDF/XML vs. vanilla XML.

It’s great to see discussions like this progress productively without me needing to get involved. It’s like a weight has been lifted from my back. Thanks, Pete, and others who are now stepping forward.

“Anything that can have a URI can be a resource, surely 404 deserves to have URI.” Sounds like a plan! RFC 2774 gave extension headers URIs. PEP gaves us URIs for new methods. Content types already have URIs (at iana.org). Why not response codes?
